Located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania Lamprey Systems was founded by entrepreneur Greg Ahnert in February of 2002. Having formed other technology start ups using e-commerce, database, and web technology, Mr. Ahnert recognized the small parcel audit industry was transitioning from companies that manually processed bills and disputes to companies using cutting edge database and web based technology. Mr. Ahnert developed a business model that utilizes a unique audit process allowing Lamprey Systems’ customers the ability to maintain complete control over their billing while also benefiting from efficient monitoring and dispute resolution. Lamprey Systems has grown to one of the leading companies in the small parcel contingency audit industry starting with one account in 2002 to now processing thousands of accounts and millions of packages each week.
Over the past several years Lamprey Systems has added many services that compliment the contingency based audit savings model. Lamprey Systems moved into Freight/LTL/Air/Ocean post auditing in 2006, contract negotiations in 2008, and more recently adding discounted declared value insurance and web shipping. Lamprey Systems will continue to add new shipping services that drive costs down and substantially increase productivity.
